Into the valley of flowers

Had been planing for the valley of flowers trip for quite some time,as a nature lover this destination had aroused alot of interest in me.The first time I got a view of the place was in orkut, while I was flipping through the travel community.Ever since,I wanted to visit this place at that time I ,just knew the valley of flowers existed somewhere near J&K.However once I got connected to the Indiamike network of travel community,i found invaluable information about this place. So finally my trip to this Heaven on earth was fulfilled on August 2 nd 2008.
The valley of flowers is a national park, was discovered by Frank S, Smith - mountaineer, explorer, botanist who camped here for several weeks in the monsoon of 1937 and did valuable exploratory work.To reach Valley of flowers I followed this route.Delhi-Haridwar-Govindghat-Ghanghariya-Valley of flowers-Ghanghriya-Hemkund Sahib-Badrinath-Haridwar-Delhi.The best season to go is from July to September, however the best time to find most flowers is in August ,when most of the flowers bloom. For a nature lover this place is heaven on earth, even the tiniest of flowers will arouse such emotions, that will leave you blissful.I had such experience when I entered the valley this monsoon, the beauty is to experience rather than see.
I would like to try and explain how I felt seeing these flowers happily swaying in the afternoon breeze.

As soon as I entered the valley I chanced upon the blue poppy the rarest of the rare, the feeling was so much of excitement as well awe on being able to capture the beauty on camera.
I do not know If I have done justice to the colour and composition ,however i have tried my best being a budding photographer(ha ha).
The moment I started walking uphill, the first thing that attracted me were the red berries,in due course of my trek I happened to find few more all of them ,all with own character and beauty.

The beautiful blue is eye catching ,the one above looks out shyly through the leaves, pretending to be hidden, but wanting to be noticed.

After the berries ,I will try to show my flower collection as per colours. The yellows and the blue were the dominant of the lot.First the bright eye catchy yellows in all form and shades some of then so small and most of then were photographed with macro settings to catch their character and details.

This one was very hard to notice with very small flowers, however when I saw it I felt it resembled small grasshoppers.

These two also very small flowers would have gone unoticed if not looked with sharp and searching eye.

The most attractive and the cutest ,its botanical name is brown's saxifrage. The stamens looks like matchsticks.

bristly dubyaea, the next one is Diverse Leaved Senecio

Horned Lousewort,in the round floral show.

Stem Clasping Ligularia

Green Bellflower Vine
The most beautiful whites, displaying their fairness...

The next in line are the hues of pretty violets.........
